Bali Corals "Jolted" Back to Life

An experimental project by scientist Thomas Goreau and the late architect Wolf Hilbertz to electrically stimulate the growth of destroyed corals has been a success, experts say.
The corals in Pemuteran now teem with clownfish, damselfish, and other colorful tropical animals.
Kadek Darma, a Balinese, told the Associated Press that the corals benefit to the local economy were obvious.
"They attract the tourists, and more tourists means more jobs," he said. " I hope we can all keep maintaining the reefs for our great-great grandchildren."
